I hit a point yesterday where I just couldn't knit anymore. I've been knitting non-stop and I need something else to do. I don't have anything else to do. :P
Well, I do, I suppose. Posting, scheduling posts, and reading your posts has been a welcome relief! I've been working feverishly on this sock. I think if I just switch to Exeter, I'll be happier. I really need to finish it anyway!
I got a yarn bowl for Christmas! Isn't it cute? There were a bunch of clay buttons in it too. I'll have fun deciding what to put them on.
Did you get anything yarny for Christmas? Any plans for it yet? :)

P.S. Sorry if you saw the draft post! I didn't check the timezone of my scheduled post!
I got yarn buckets- like little jars with holes in the top and sizes 0-4 in 24" addi turbos. A super handy gift for me. Hope you've had a good Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I did, I hope you did too!
DeleteLove the yarn bowl! What a great gift. I didn't get anything specifically yarny, but I'm definitely going to be spend Christmas money on more yarn.
ReplyDeleteIt was a total surprise! Most of my Christmas money will probably go to yarn too. ;)
DeleteMy hubby gave me a nice ottoman/put-your-knitting-in-there-instead-of-all-over-the-place box (hehehe) and my kids picked me out some acrylic stuff that they liked, with sparkles and sequins and stuff. I might have to make them hats or something :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I love it! :)
DeleteI love the yarn bowl, they are so useful! I'm at my Mom's right now so I am using a tupperware, it just isn't the same thing!
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting to use the hole....Good thing it works without it. :) Tupperware just isn't fancy enough, is it? ;)
DeleteI got a gift cert for a local shop and since WEBS sent me the wrong needle I guess I got needle tips from them for free. They are sending out the right size and told me to keep the wrong ones!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Surprise Christmas gifts are nice (except now you have to wait to cast on... :P)!
Deletewhat a lovely yarn bowl! and those socks look lovely! but if they are wearing you out, back to the sweater! i can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I took them on our drive to Jackson and didn't touch them. I've been too worried about my sweater sleeves! The plane ride home will give me plenty of time to work on the socks. :)
DeleteOh my, that is a gorgeous yarn bowl! Someone knew the perfect gift for you. I hope you are enjoying a brief break from the hectic grad school lifestyle! Also the Bunny Calendar from last week definitely cleared up some things for me, now I understand the order of the universe.
ReplyDeleteThey did! I totally am, except I feel really weird not having deadlines and school things piling up that I would rather knit and ignore.... :) I hope you are getting a very much deserved break for knitting your heart out too!
DeleteSpike really is a very informative bunny, isn't he? :D
