May Is Knocking

And that means the end of the Spring Cleaning KAL. I want to thank you so much for joining me this month in the battle to cut down the works-in-progress and start summer afresh. I don't think I would have stuck with it as faithfully without you here working along beside me. My favorite part has been seeing your finished projects. Sure it's nice to have a few of my own, but there's not much excitement in projects that have been staring at me for months. :)

Just a reminder to tag your Ravelry projects with "springcleaningkal" for extra entries for the giveaway. Fill out the form here if you haven't yet:

Today will be the last day you can sign up, then I will chose three winners tomorrow and announce them Friday!

A million thanks to our gracious, talented sponsors. Be kind and pay them a visit!

I still have the drive to finish off a few things into May. My goal was to get down to 10 WIPs at most. I'm almost there and I think I can do a bit better than that this summer. I finished a shawl and a hat I haven't shared yet, legwarmers, two sweaters, and a pair of mittens. Pretty good! I still have quite a few projects to get through, but they seem much more manageable now and that was the real goal after all.

How did you come out? Still working on a project or a few? Tell me about them! Blog links are always welcome. :)

  1. I finally picked up a second sock last weekend, due to your inspiration and I am really close, I think I will finish it tonight just under the buzzer:) Thank you for the encouragement!

  2. I've managed four. FOUR projects complete this month. FOUR! And maybe five if I can be bothered to go hunt for some suitable buttons in my crafting stash before midnight, but I did just eat some chocolate pudding and I'm really comfy . . .

Plenty of WIPs still, of course, but the important ones are finished and that's the main thing.

    Well done everyone!

    1. I find pudding is always a suitable excuse for putting off buttons. Any excuse is a good excuse for putting off buttons, really. FOUR! Great job!

  3. Thanks! I haven't actually reduced my number of WIPs. I may have actually added one....

But I have sorted out three large and random piles of patches, and am a whole lot closer to having three beautiful blankets. http://randomramblingsofceleenacree.wordpress.com/2014/04/30/spring-cleaning-kal-5/

You should do a summer cleaning kal during the next break month. I might actually work on WIPS then.

    1. I've added some too. :/ Darn HPKCHC means we can't be as monogamous as I know I'd like to be, lol. I'm so eager to see the end of these blankets! I just might do another clean up. At least in our nest. It seemed to do a lot of us some good!
