Okay, I did make one decision: I am going to complete a legwarmer and a half to start. I'm tired of my yarn bowl and this stunning yarn staring at me all the time. I should be able to use that yarn bowl, but I can't because there's half a legwarmer in it. For a over a year they have been leering at me from their corner of the coffee table. I am ashamed. But I'm also ready to wear some really cute legwarmers.
I also have a small stack of things needing buttons, so that's on my to-do list this week, too. Hopefully I can power through these two tasks and have a different WIP next week. Hopefully.
I find that a lot of us have a short attention span for our WIPs, which is why some sit so long. Is this true for you? Do you have a project or two that you just can't stand to work on for more than a few minutes at a time every few weeks? What is it about those projects that you just don't like? The legwarmer was on two circulars. I don't like magic loop or working on two circs. It irks me and those projects take longer because I have to put them down more often (so the irk doesn't grow to irrational anger or some other beast!). I'm not entirely sure what other reason I might have had for putting this down for so long....
Welcome to the KAL! If you have a blog post you'd like to share, feel free to leave a link in the comments with a note about what you are working on. I will be checking Instagram for the #springknittingkal hashtag (and posting my own progress) and scouring Ravelry for your projects with the springknittingkal tag, too!
A spring KAL sounds like a good plan. I've got way too many socks that need to be knit along with a few things I need to sew. By the way, I've nominated you for a Liebster award. You can check out the details here: http://burkehousecrafts.com/2014/04/01/wont-you-be-my-neighbor/!
ReplyDeleteJoin us! :D I love to see others' sewing projects. I'm trying to pick it up myself.
DeleteI think we can all relate to having a WIP laying around the house for way too long... The leg warmer is looking beautiful so far though!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's the spirit of the KAL. :)
DeleteYup, I'm in. Perfect timing. Thanks for the invite :)
ReplyDeleteYay! :D
DeleteAt the moment I just have one WIP and about a million in my head....so far I've managed to stick to one at a time because I know I've never finish anything if I stopped and started. Yay for the second leg-warmer :)
ReplyDeleteThat's impressive! I'm aiming to get back to one (or two) WIPs at a time. Some day...
DeleteI'm in! And I've blogged! http://randomramblingsofceleenacree.wordpress.com/2014/04/02/spring-cleaning-kal/
